Wow I am blogging!

So here goes...I am a blogger. Let's see if its all that it is cracked up to be.

I am the owner of my own business which is Legacy Photo Design. That is my wife and I in the picture. Legacy's specialty is transforming your ordinary photos into beautiful works of art. I think people have been waiting for a service like mine for years, well ever since the beginning of photography I guess. The reason being is that photography ultimately boils down to what your photos look like when they are displayed in your home. Everyone wants their photos to look great hanging on the walls of their home or office. We buy the nicest frames, the coolest matboards, all in effort to make our photo look great. But what about the photo itself? What if you could transform the photo instead of everything around it. That is what we do here at Legacy. It is our goal at Legacy to take those seemingly ordinary photographs and turn them into extraordinary works of photographic art.

In searching for a word or phrase to describe what I do I came up with this; photo-artistic design. What sets my work apart is that it is not merely photography but it is photography and then some. Put it this way, if photography were a cake, photo-artistic design is the icing on the cake. With today's technological advances in digital photo editing, there are endless possibilities when it comes to your photos.

A Little about me.

I have been an artist all of my life. It has been a passion of mine since I was 3 years old. With great encouragement from my parents, I began to draw and draw and draw and draw. When I was fourteen my high school art teacher asked me to do a portrait for a friend of hers and paid me 25 bucks. My freelance career had begun. The funny thing is, I never really did well in art class. It was really boring for me. I needed to be free to let my creativity flow. It wasn't until I was a senior and I took an art class that there were no assignments. You just did what you wanted and turned it in a the end of the grading period. I remember my art teacher grading one of my pieces and giving me an A++. Finally, an A in art. I got an A for the year as well. There has been no escaping my talent. God made me an artist, I cannot help but create. I can be sitting at a restaurant and sit there and start making shapes out of my mashed potatoes!

I say these things because this is what I bring to my customers. Passion, perfection & creativity. You see, I don't look at my clients and say, "hey, there is someone I can make money off of," no, for me I see my customers as an avenue to channel my creative ablility and fulfill the passion I have for what I do.

Okay, I am usually long-winded so I will keep this first blog brief. Check out my site at www.legacyphotodesign.com. There are some unique ideas there. Thank you.

God Bless,
Rich
